Our Turbo Repair Process
The machine is used to balance high speed in an optimum way with the turbochargers core assembly (CHRA), the measurement is made on the residual value of vibration due to the acceleration of the rotor (speeds up to 200,000 rpm/min). Besides balancing, this allows us to avoid having a noisy turbocharger (whistling) and fully control the tightness of the turbocharger (oil leak). the machine heats the oil as well to simulate real conditions.
This machine allows us to test the electronic actuator on the turbo, and as it becomes more popular under new cars it is a must-have machine. it also can reprogram actuators, let’s say your actuator is damaged, we could use a blank actuator or an actuator from an other turbo and program for the one that is damaged
